Overview

Echofy is designed with privacy as a core principle. All audio processing, transcription, and translation happen entirely on your device. No audio data, transcription text, or personal information is ever sent to external servers.

Data Collection

We do not collect any data. Echofy does not:

Record, store, or transmit your audio
Send transcription or translation text to any server
Collect usage analytics or telemetry
Use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs
Require account creation or login

Audio Processing

Echofy uses iOS system frameworks (Apple Speech Recognition and Apple Translation) to process audio locally on your device. Audio captured via Screen Broadcast is processed in real-time and immediately discarded — it is never saved to disk or transmitted over the network.

On-Device Technology

Speech Recognition: Uses Apple's built-in SFSpeechRecognizer with on-device processing when available
Translation: Uses Apple's Translation framework, which runs entirely on-device with downloaded language packs

Permissions

Speech Recognition: Required to convert audio to text. Processing occurs on-device.
Microphone: May be requested by the system for speech recognition setup, but Echofy captures system audio via Screen Broadcast, not the microphone.

Third-Party Services

Echofy does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

Echofy does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
